As a parent (Dad), former BSA Scoutmaster (x4) and current Scouting Adult Leader, former Grades K-12 Theatre Arts public classroom teacher (with service in NC-SC-IL), and retired US Army Airborne Special Operations Forces guy which includes training and assignments as a Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Officer-- I say AYE! "Quick Trial and immediate demise of the Federal Government 'Education'/Indoctrination Entity!" Homeschooling and Local (Village/City/State) support to educating Youth and Young Adults. Mandatory Military or Civil/Public Service (Street sweeper or Firefighter) for a minimum two years to include at least six months OCONUS for ALL military services personnel to provide an expanded worldview perspective.

Let "Elected Public SERVANTS" reside on Military installations, in same Military family housing, and use the same facilities and services as well. Our children and communities would become so much more enlightened. v/r, Captain R.A. "Rick" Briggs, Jr. USA, Retired in Central Texas, native born Iowan.

E-5 Peggy

In those 37 years teaching high school I watched how books, desks, and other materials were thrown out and it was not allowed to go to another place that could use the material/furniture - - it had to be thrown out. The books were used, (still good to use elsewhere) but it was time to use new ones. The waste was very far beyond understandable- -all tax payer money my tax dollar. One year we had new math books but the teachers decided to stay with the old one because they worked better for teaching math.

Department heads would order themselves fancy new office furniture because they are so VERY important???- -they have to have the best..

Principals and Superintends are also sooo very important people they always get very high salaries---when too many of them are just Joe-of-the-street deciding to become a principal and then tell me how to run my classroom when they themselves never taught a class. Principals and Superintendents should/must have prior teaching experience of at least 8-10 years and their salary should not tower over teacher’s salaries.

E5 Army - Peggy

Captain, Sir-- you are so correct!!!! -Education may(?) now improve - -but I would require a visit to a communist country for a month with no benefits- -because you are an American. My country was half communist and I visited my relatives in the DDR/German Democratic Republic and it is an eye opener - -to make sure America never goes communist although we were heading there fast/furious & I taught high school for 37 years & when I could I spoke about communism.
